La Academia de las Artes y las Ciencias Cinematográficas anunció a los nominados a los Oscar, premios que se entregarán el 4 de marzo en una ceremonia conducida por Jimmy Kimmel.

Como se calculaba por los resultados de los Globos de Oro y los SAG Awards, las galas que ya se han realizado en la temporada de premios, "The Shape of Water" (13 nominaciones), Dunkirk (8 nominaciones) y "Three Billboards Outside of Ebbing, Missouri" (7 nominaciones) lideraron las categorías.
